Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and refining existing dishes to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation and plating.
- Maintain organization of workstations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and ready for use.
- Participate in food prep activities such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service with a focus on quality and safety.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques across diverse cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices in a commercial kitchen setting.

Pay: $17.13 - $19.00 per hour
