Job OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our busy primary care practice. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, professional, and enjoys building rapport with patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities include:
· Rooming patients in a timely manner (vitals, chief complaint, and questionnaires)
· Discharging patients and entering referrals when needed
· Performing EKGs
· Assisting with record requests and patient calls
· Performing ear washes
· Obtaining prior authorizations (experience preferred)
· Administering injections such as Toradol as needed
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Medical Assistant education certification required
· Medical Assistant organizational body (NHA, AMT, AAMA) certification body preferred
· Minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience preferred.
· Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
· Prior experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred
- Minimum of Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills required.
- Minimum of 40 words per minute required.
· Proficient with Electronic Health Records systems
· Knowledge of basic CLIA-waived labs, vitals, and medication administration
· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Reports To: Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Office Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
