NOW HIRING – SCALE OPERATOR
DRMetals Scrap Metal Processing Center is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Scale Operator to join our team! We're looking for someone who is organized and detail ortiented to help manage weighing operations and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and materials
- Enter and maintain accurate scale data and records
- Verify load types
- Answer phones and assist customers with questions
- Sort incoming materials
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and site personnel
- Perform general office duties and maintain a clean work area
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer and data entry experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous scrap yard or recycling experience is helpful but not required—we're willing to train the right person!
