Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs on various vehicle systems, including powertrain components.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed to ensure vehicle integrity and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and professionally to clients.
- Assist in auto estimating for repairs and services required on vehicles.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous learning.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics systems and troubleshooting techniques is essential.
- Experience in customer service within the automotive industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications required by the State of Michigan.
