V Modern Italian is seeking a passionate, organized, and standards-driven Kitchen Manager to help guide and elevate our culinary operations. This leader will play a central role in upholding our brand’s commitment to consistency, quality, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in high-volume environments, leads by example, and takes pride in developing a strong, disciplined, and energized BOH team.
This position partners closely with the General Manager and Chef team to ensure flawless execution of our menu, seamless communication between BOH and FOH, and a culture built on professionalism, accountability, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Execution
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and smooth service.
- Lead line checks, temperature logs, food safety practices, and daily operational readiness.
- Uphold brand standards for food quality, portioning, recipes, plating, and sanitation.
Team Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching to ensure all team members understand recipes, systems, and expectations.
- Partner with leadership to conduct performance reviews and ensure accountability.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Enforce proper storage, labeling, cooling, and sanitation procedures.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Oversee inventory levels, receiving, and ordering to meet operational needs while minimizing waste.
- Work with leadership to maintain food cost goals and purchasing strategies.
- Track variances, waste, and product usage to improve accuracy and reduce loss.
Menu Execution & Culinary Standards
- Execute the V Modern Italian menu with precision and consistency.
- Support R&D and seasonal changes in collaboration with corporate culinary leadership.
- Ensure food presentation meets brand and chef-driven standards.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Partner with FOH leadership to ensure timely service, strong communication, and cohesive guest experience.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, service coordination, and menu education.
Systems & Administrative Responsibilities
- Utilize Toast POS for item accuracy, inventory control, and operational alignment.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, hiring processes, onboarding, and communication with the GM.
- Ensure adherence to Fast Fine Restaurant Group policies, standards, and core values.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of kitchen management or supervisory experience in a full-service or high-volume restaurant.
- Strong culinary execution skills and understanding of kitchen systems and prep structures.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of food cost management, inventory controls, and ordering.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (ServSafe Manager certification preferred).
- Experience with Toast POS or similar systems is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and focused in a high-energy environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to hospitality-driven leadership.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
