Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is hiring Package Handlers for our client in Broome County, NY! This position requires employees to work in a warehouse setting, picking goods, packaging picked boxes onto pallet jacks, and coordinating with other team members to deliver goods to the shipment area.
We have immediate openings for Package Handlers, Forklift Operators, and Inventory Specialists on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts!
Responsibilities:
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open boxes and other containers when necessary.
- Pick products and make sure it shows the correct selection of lot numbers/product codes.
- Record amount of material using site specific equipment to update inventory.
- Arrange stock parts in specific order for assembly.
- Communicate damaged products to inventory or lead/supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least one year of warehouse experience preferred.
- Prior experience with material handling equipment is a plus!
- Must be able to list a minimum of 40 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
The estimated hours salary range for this position is $17-$19 per hour, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
