Job Summary:
As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, warmly welcoming them and ensuring a smooth seating process. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, taking orders, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Assist with seating guests, ensuring an efficient flow of diners.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, including sweeping and tidying up.
- Smile and greet guests as they enter.
- Inquire about guest seating preferences and accommodate accordingly.
- Escort guests to their desired seating areas.
- Inform guests about specials and who will be serving them.
- Maintain knowledge of the current dining stations and which servers are assigned to them.
- Organize the waiting queue and rotate seating to avoid over-seating food servers.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass pre-employment (urine) drug and alcohol tests.
- Prior experience in hosting is required.
- Must be available for on-call/extra shifts, including Day/Swing/Grave shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical capability to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, walking, and lifting.
- Strong language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Must obtain or renew all necessary work cards, particularly a Health/Food Handlers Card.
- Experience with InfoGenesis point of sale (POS) is preferred.
- Knowledge of dining stations and ability to rotate seating to manage server workloads.
- Ability to organize the waiting queue efficiently.
