Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their automotive parts needs through active listening and expert guidance
- Identify, locate, and recommend auto parts, accessories, and related products based on customer requests or vehicle specifications
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing parts, and conducting regular stock audits using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Process sales transactions accurately utilizing POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures
- Provide technical advice on vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, maintenance procedures, and repair solutions to assist customers in making informed decisions
- Collaborate with the service team to facilitate order fulfillment, special requests, or warranty claims ensuring timely delivery of parts
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely; communicate effectively with bilingual or multilingual customers when needed
- Support marketing efforts by promoting automotive repair services, accessories, or seasonal promotions to boost sales
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales within an automotive dealership or parts store environment; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair processes
- Familiarity with inventory management tools such as CMMS or similar software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and provide outstanding customer service in person or over the phone
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, order fulfillment, and maintain a clean work environment
- Ability to handle cashiering duties including cash handling and POS transactions accurately
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of automotive parts management, retail math for pricing strategies, and marketing principles enhances success in this role

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
