Duties

- Gather and analyze financial documents such as income statements, expense reports, and bank statements to ensure accurate reporting
- Review client information for completeness and compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or other financial tools to organize data and streamline the filing process
- Provide guidance on tax deductions, credits, and planning strategies to optimize client refunds
- Maintain detailed records of all filings, correspondence, and client interactions for future reference
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax concepts, and public accounting practices
- Proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other accounting or tax preparation tools
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret complex financial data accurately
- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or related financial roles
- Effective customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Knowledge of marketing techniques to promote services and attract new clients
- High typing speed (10 key typing) for efficient data entry and documentation
- Ability to apply technical accounting skills in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with financial sales strategies to identify opportunities for client growth or additional services
