Responsibilities of Director of Nursing (DON):
Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing operations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
Maintain survey readiness and support successful survey outcomes
Monitor staffing effectiveness, clinical performance, and resident outcomes
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing managers and frontline staff
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident care
Manage infection prevention, risk management, and quality assurance programs
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
Partner with facility leadership to achieve operational and clinical goals
Qualifications for Director of Nursing (DON):
Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum of 3 years of Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey process, and quality measures
Demonstrated success leading clinical teams and improving outcomes
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience managing budgets, staffing, and clinical operations
Ability to foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture
