Founded in 1934, Glass Trucking is local transportation carrier specializing in food grade dry bulk. Based in Newkirk, OK, Glass serves customers in the Midwest region.
Responsibilities
-Review driver check calls to determine driver location and ETA’s
-Receive load assignments from Customer Service and review loads to create load board
-Dispatch loads to the drivers (while checking) HOS, equipment placement, wash cycles and PM’s
-Promote safety throughout all areas of operations, including the dispatching of loads in accordance with the drivers HOS
-Focus on driver retention by understanding driver requirements
-Identify, track, and resolve performance issues by conducting driver evaluations, driver routes and hold meetings when needed
-Resolve driver conflicts, problems, and request with respect to matters such as home time, pay, equipment and load assignments.
-This is a 24/7 position with after hours cell phone.
Qualifications
Transportation and Logistics experience preferred, but not required.
-Computer applications and keyboard proficiency
-Ability to function in a fast-paces work environment and tolerate stress
-Excellent interpersonal skills, including good listening skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
