Job Title: Construction Project Manager (Federal Government Experience Required)
Location: Albuquerque, NM (some travel to job sites required)
Base Salary: $110,000-$125,000

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support nationwide federal vertical construction projects for the Division of Facilities Management & Construction (DFMC). The selected candidate will oversee planning, design, construction, and delivery of capital improvement projects including schools, law enforcement facilities, administrative buildings, and housing projects.
This individual will serve as the primary liaison between Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), architectural and engineering teams, Tribal partners, and contractors while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale federal construction projects from planning through occupancy.
- Coordinate planning, design, construction, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and contractor performance.
- Prepare and review Program of Requirements (POR), construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations and construction standards.
- Manage design and construction contracts
- Utilize project management systems and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
- Develop corrective action plans for project deficiencies.
- Coordinate with Tribal entities, engineering firms, architects, and federal agencies.
- Present project updates and technical briefings to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
- Experience managing large federal or Tribal construction projects.
- Strong background in vertical construction.
- Experience with:
- Design-build projects
- Cost estimating
- Budget development
- Scheduling
- Risk management
- Building code compliance
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- PMP Certification
- Federal construction experience
- Tribal project experience
- Experience using:
- Maximo
- PMIS
- FBMS
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
