Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance their dining experience
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems such as CLOVER, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while offering personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and processing payments with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to sanitation standards in food handling and service areas
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when necessary, demonstrating culinary experience and teamwork skills
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like CLOVER,TOAST and OpenTable for efficient order processing and reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations, hospitality, and creating positive guest experiences
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, bussing, basic math for cash handling, and food preparation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales while ensuring guest satisfaction
