Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and friendly Medical Assistant(preferred Certified or Registered) to join our healthcare team. If your a recent graduate we are willing to train the right candidate! The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing front desk operations and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This role requires strong customer service skills, familiarity with medical scheduling, and an understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process insurance information and verify patient eligibility.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Utilize medical coding knowledge to assist with billing inquiries as needed.
- Perform data entry tasks including 10 key typing for patient information updates.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and maintaining office supplies.
- Support the team in utilizing electronic health record systems like Athenahealth.

Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and procedures is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in typing and data entry; experience
