Patten & Odom is seeking a full-time Audit Associate to join our growing public accounting firm in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
We specialize in governmental auditing, primarily working with Oklahoma public schools and technology centers. This position offers hands-on experience, client interaction, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative small-firm environment.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, professional, and confident communicating with clients and team members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with technology and Excel, able to think critically and solve problems independently, and willing to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with governmental audits for Oklahoma school districts and technology centers
- Prepare and organize audit workpapers and supporting documentation
- Work with clients to gather financial and operational information
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and audit software to analyze and organize data
- Travel to client sites throughout Oklahoma during audit season
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver quality client service

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, accounting or business preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable learning and utilizing new technology and software
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Ability to think critically and solve problems independently
- Comfortable interacting with clients in a professional environment
- Accounting or audit experience is a plus
Pay: $57,500.00 - $67,500.00 per year
