Location: Hybrid (Based in Paramus, NJ – court appearances required)
The Role:
We're looking for a New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney with 5+ years of experience handling workers' compensation matters. If you're comfortable managing cases, arguing motions, deposing witnesses, and occasionally wrangling difficult judges, you’ll fit right in. We’re serious about great lawyering, strong systems, and smart growth but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. You'll collaborate daily with a supportive, team-driven crew that believes in sharing knowledge, wins and growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage your own caseload of NJ workers’ comp defense files
- Represent employers and carriers in court
- Conduct depositions, draft pleadings, and push cases forward strategically
- Communicate with clients clearly and confidently
- Collaborate with teammates
What You Bring:
- Active NJ Bar license
- NY Bar license is a plus
- Solid writing, litigation, and organization skills
- A healthy respect for deadlines, court rules, and humans
- Sense of humor appreciated—we work hard, but we’re not robots
- Long-term interest in growth, leadership, and partnership opportunities
