Duties/Responsibilities
The primary essential functions of the Bartender include:
- Properly identify all patrons as 21 years of age or older
- Greet, assist, and give proper beverage service to all who approach the bar
- Ensure all bar customers are served promptly and thoroughly in a clean and comfortable environment
- Effectively maintain service of server beer orders in a timely manner while serving bar customers
- Maintain an inventory of clean glassware throughout the shift with or without the presence of a barback
- Complete all opening, closing and cleaning duties as instructed to maintain the bar
- Assume all server responsibilities in the absence of a server Requirements/Qualifications
Knowledge requirements/qualifications of the Bartender include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of proper beverage service
- Sufficient familiarity with basic brewing procedures, beer styles, craft breweries and their products Skills/aptitudes requirements of the Bartender include:
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in high volume, high pressure environments
- Organization and leadership skills
- Able to take direction In addition, the Bartender position requires the following specialized training/licensing: Certified Beer Server Alcohol Awareness Training (Basset,TIPS, TAP, etc.)
