Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing infants and supporting their developmental milestones in a safe, engaging, and caring environment. This role involves creating a positive learning atmosphere, implementing age-appropriate activities, and fostering growth through individualized attention. Prior experience in childcare, classroom management, or daycare settings is highly valued. The Infant Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the early experiences of our youngest learners and supporting their families.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to infants' developmental stages
- Provide attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Engage with children through play, music, storytelling, and other educational activities
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate daily updates and developmental observations
- Maintain classroom organization and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care when necessary
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive social interactions among children
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with infants' care routines such as feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies for young children
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to nurture, teach, and manage behavior effectively in a caregiving setting
- 3 years working in preschool settings
- 3 infant units
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
