Job Summary
Falcone's Kitchen is a new Italian restaurant concept in Erie, PA still in its first year. We are growing rapidly and seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will will have Italian cooking experience including pasta, pizza, and elevated entrees. This person will also assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety. This role requires a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on quality and efficiency in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Bring bright new ideas to menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal and local ingredients are utilized.
- Coordinate catering services for special events as required.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours
Qualifications
- Passion for hospitality (most importantly)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
- Experience in inventory management and ordering processes.
- Ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
- Familiarity with catering services and hospitality standards.
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Passion for culinary excellence and creativity in menu development.
- Ambition for upward mobility within the company, future EC.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
