Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand symptoms, medical history, and specific areas of concern.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans for pain management and relaxation.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals, address concerns, and provide personalized care that enhances their overall experience.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all sanitation standards and maintaining proper equipment usage.
- Stay current with industry best practices by participating in ongoing education and training related to physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and new massage techniques.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
- Proven experience in massage therapy including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate client schedules.
