Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary
engineering team in the Greater Boston area.
This is a leadership opportunity for an engineer who enjoys balancing technical design, project
coordination, construction administration, and client interaction. The successful candidate will
lead electrical design efforts across a diverse portfolio of projects while collaborating with project
managers, architects, consultants, designers, and clients throughout all phases of project delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Serve as the Lead Electrical Engineer on assigned projects.
- Coordinate all technical aspects of projects with project managers and design teams.
- Provide guidance and oversight to designers and drafters.
- Represent the organization during client meetings and project discussions.
- Assume project management responsibilities when appropriate.
Electrical System Design
- Design normal power systems.
- Design emergency power systems.
- Design lighting systems.
- Design fire alarm systems.
- Prepare engineering narratives, reports, construction drawings, and technical
specifications.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Construction Administration
- Support projects throughout the construction phase.
- Perform construction administration duties.
- Participate in field coordination and project documentation.
- Review technical information and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Project Execution and Quality Control
- Oversee all engineering aspects of assigned projects.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
- Review designs for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Follow established quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE).
- Minimum of 10 years of electrical design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Previous leadership or project management experience is a plus.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience designing electrical systems for the following facility types is highly desirable:
- Healthcare
- Biotechnology
- Laboratory facilities
- Higher education
- Commercial buildings
- Institutional facilities
- Office buildings
- Large mixed-use developments
- Hospitality projects
Technical Requirements
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of:
- Power distribution systems
- Construction documentation
- Engineering specifications

the ability to establish and maintain strong
Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
