Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of design-build projects from concept development through project completion. This role serves as the primary liaison between owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The Project Manager oversees project planning, design coordination, procurement, construction execution, and client communication throughout the project lifecycle. A company vehicle will be provided during working hours to perform assigned duties.
General Accountabilities
Under general supervision of the Design Build Manager, this position primarily supervises and coordinates activities of design build, with some landscape and snow work depending on seasonality.
- Lead design-build projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage collaboration between architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams.
- Review design documents for constructability, cost efficiency, and schedule impacts.
- Coordinate design development milestones and approvals.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts, scope gaps, and technical issues.
- Ensure project designs align with client objectives and operational requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
- Manage expectations regarding project scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables.
- Present project updates, reports, and recommendations to clients and leadership.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Review estimates, proposals, and subcontractor bids.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Support contract negotiations and procurement activities.
- Coordinate construction activities with field personnel and subcontractors.
- Monitor site progress to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Resolve field issues and support project teams in achieving project objectives.
- Ensure successful project commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, contracts, permits, and records.
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Snow service management during the winter months.
Job Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Horticulture or Construction-related coursework preferred.
· Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy required.
· Experience: 5 years in landscape construction, with at least years in a manager role.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documents.
· Proficient in operating landscape construction equipment (skid steers, loaders, compactors, etc.).
· Ability to utilize smart pads/tablets in the field for job management and reporting.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
· Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Safety-minded with thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and safe work practices.
· Experience managing commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
· Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.

Working Conditions
- Combination of office, jobsite, and client-facing environments.
- Periodic travel to project sites and meetings.
- Ability to work extended hours as required to meet project deadlines.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
