About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Technician (Level 1 & Level 2) with strong French language skills to provide on-site support in a professional New York City environment. French proficiency is essential for this role, as the position involves supporting French-speaking users, participating in the translation of operational documentation into English, and handling overflow requests from international teams when needed.
The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on experience supporting end users in financial services or banking environments and will be comfortable managing both technical support and local IT operations activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site Level 1 and Level 2 desktop and workplace support
- Deliver end-user support for laptops, Microsoft 365, Teams, mobile devices, peripherals, and printers
- Handle meeting room support and AV incident resolution
- Manage remote spare stock (laptops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, etc.)
- Receive, store, and deliver IT equipment as required
- Prepare, deploy, and replace end-user equipment
- Perform asset lifecycle management and coordinate RMA processes
- Coordinate with local vendors and service providers when needed
- Carry out general smart-hands activities and local IT operations support
- Assist with user requests from other countries during overflow periods
- Participate in the English translation of operational documentation
- Strictly follow client security policies, confidentiality requirements, and data handling procedures
Required Qualifications
- Several years of desktop / end-user support experience in financial services or banking environments
- Strong French language skills (spoken and written) – required
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Experience with hardware deployment, inventory/spare stock management, and RMA processes
- Comfortable providing meeting room and basic AV support
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently while following strict security and confidentiality standards
- Must successfully complete a full background check
- Ability to work on-site in New York, NY during standard business hours
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 40–50 lbs (laptops, monitors, docking stations, and related hardware)
- Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull as needed when handling and deploying IT equipment
Help Desk Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 year in customer service
- Experience with support & troubleshooting over the phone
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate professionally verbally & in written form.
- Experience with Windows OS & Office 365 Suite
- Experience with MDM solutions (Intune on iOS & Android)
- Ability to work independently or in small groups, in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative to succeed, ability to maintain focus and productivity in times of change.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a corporate or enterprise support setting within financial services
- Familiarity with IT asset management and vendor coordination
- Additional IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL, etc.) are a plus
Schedule & Working Conditions:
- Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Eastern Time (with lunch break and reasonable flexibility)
- Occasional after-hours or extended coverage may be required for major incidents or projects (pre-approved)
- Must support business continuity planning, including coverage for planned absences and sickness
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
