Cahoon Farms is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated QC Technician to join our 3rd shift quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards through rigorous testing and inspection processes. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
The QC Tech is responsible to perform multiple quality control tests throughout the day, inspect condition of raw apples, inspect condition of finished product, and report findings to QA Manager.
This is a seasonal position on the 3rd shift team. The QC Tech reports directly to the QA Manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities throughout the production process.
- Manage data input
- Implement and maintain a vision inspection system to enhance product quality verification.
- Performed chemical testing per specification.
- Document findings from inspections, providing detailed reports on non-conformities or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality management processes and procedures.
- Perform metal detection audits.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality inspection or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC methodologies and practices.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with vision inspection systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and collaboration.
