Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bartenders
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues swiftly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and order management
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy shifts
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Excellent communication skills with basic math proficiency for accurate billing and cash handling
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; a positive attitude is essential
