American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of acute care ER experience and NIHSS/ESI certifications.

Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
-
10 staffed beds with an average daily census of 25-30 patients
-
Patient ratios of 2.5:1 on days and nights, and 1:5 on weekends
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00

Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required
-
Floating required to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
-
Block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
-
Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting required

Community hospital experience required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI
-
TNCC certification preferred
-
Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and cardiac dysrhythmia management
-
Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation preferred
-
Current driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration

Utility bill with matching name and address (within last 3 months) required for consideration

Two supervisory references required

Copies of certifications required for consideration

Provide emergency care to a combined adult/pediatric patient population, including trauma, cardiac, and neurological cases

Responsibilities include triage, cardiac monitoring, and isolation precautions/PPE protocols

Maximum RTO is 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday or blackout date requests accepted

Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be more than 75 miles from the facility
