Job Title: Warehouse Building Maintenance Worker
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Building Maintenance Worker to oversee the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our large-scale storage and logistics facility located in Peculiar, MO. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, general building repairs, and routine inspections to minimize operational downtime and maintain a safe workspace for our warehouse team. The ideal candidate is a versatile problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in industrial environments. Temp to Hire position with great benefits once perm status.
Core Responsibilities
Facility Inspections: Conduct daily walkthroughs to audit critical warehouse areas, dock doors, safety systems, and structural elements.
System Maintenance: Perform basic repairs and preventative care on commercial HVAC filters, overhead lighting, and plumbing networks.
Structural Repairs: Patch interior drywall, fix damaged racks, paint designated lanes, and repair broken locks or facility hardware.
Safety & Compliance: Test fire alarms, eye-wash stations, and exit doors to ensure complete compliance with local codes and OSHA regulations.
Equipment Upkeep: Clean, lubricate, and troubleshoot non-specialized facility assets, motorized docks, and general tools.
Grounds & Exterior: Manage seasonal exterior maintenance including clearing loading bays, clearing debris, and handling light landscaping.
Vendor Coordination: Monitor and assist third-party licensed contractors when advanced electrical, structural, or HVAC overhauls are required.
Log Recordkeeping: Log completed work orders, parts inventory, and material usage into our digital facility maintenance tracking system.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, industrial handyman work, or a related construction trade.
Technical Skills: Proficient with a wide range of power tools, hand tools, multi-meters, and facility diagnostic equipment.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb tall industrial ladders, stand for long shifts, and work in varied warehouse temperatures.
