Rasansky McKenzie is a well-established and growing personal injury law firm located in Uptown Dallas, Texas. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our team and assist in managing a high-volume docket of nursing home negligence cases.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional client service and enjoys being an integral part of the litigation team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from filing through trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research.
- Prepare and electronically file documents with Texas state courts.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, medical providers, and insurance companies.
- Review, organize, and prepare files for litigation.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, mediations, hearings, depositions, and other litigation-related proceedings.
- Review, negotiate, and reduce medical liens.
- Maintain accurate case files and litigation deadlines using Neos case management software.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury litigation.
- Experience managing litigation files from inception through trial.
- Neos case management experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and exceptional work ethic.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience (DOE).
