About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on HR professional to champion employee relations, build high-performing teams, and elevate a strong Human Resources program.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations and Culture: Lead initiatives to maintain and enhance company culture, such as organizing team-building events, morale-boosting activities, and conflict mediation. Conduct regular employee check-ins and surveys to gauge satisfaction and address issues early. Direct conflict resolution as needed. Execute disciplinary action.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the full hiring process, from job descriptions and listings to interviews and orientations. Collaborate with managers on talent needs and ensure smooth integration of new hires. Work with principals to address skill gaps across company. Interviewing and vetting candidates for culture fit and ability. Guiding employees and managers through the onboarding process.
- Training and Development: Identify skill gaps and organize internal training sessions, workshops, or e-learning programs. Support career development through aligning mentors and goal-setting. Leading and assisting SOP documentation process for all departments.
- Performance Management: Manage performance review process, provide coaching, and recognize achievements to motivate the team.
- Payroll Management: Work with current PEO for payroll processing and will transition to internal payroll processing. This includes; time tracking, time submissions, PTO monitoring, and assisting employees with all payroll related questions.
- Benefits and Wellness Support: Act as the lead and internal point of contact for employee questions on benefits, wellness programs, and work-life balance initiatives. Lead the annual benefit renewal strategy, finding best options for leadership review.
- Internal Compliance and Policy Implementation: Act as the steward of our workplace guidelines by maintaining, communicating, and continuously refining Oil Solutions Group policies. You will champion core compliance by designing and facilitating baseline training sessions (including harassment prevention and safety) while keeping meticulous, audit-ready employee records. Ensure company is compliant with all labor laws. Propose and memorialize policies.
- Administrative Support: Oversee leave requests, time-off tracking, and basic HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, engagement scores).
- Special Projects: Contribute to organizational growth, such as tactics that contribute to annual initiatives.
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in small businesses or startups.
- Strong interpersonal skills for conflict resolution and building relationships.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, with certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
- Familiarity with HR software for tracking employee data and payroll processing (experience transitioning payroll from PEO a strong plus).
- Ability to work independently in a small, dynamic team environment.
Compensation & Benefits
· Pay Range: $75,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with experience).
