American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care position in Illinois requiring 2 years of cardiac stepdown experience and active Epic proficiency.

Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care unit in a hospital setting
-
Day shift patient ratio is 1:4-5; night shift patient ratio is 1:5-1:6
-
Charge nurses factor in each nurse's level of cardiac experience when making assignments

Epic EMR experience required

Floating may be required within the same discipline across local campuses

Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; an active Iowa RN license is also required, or proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact RN license

Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required; pending certifications are not accepted

Minimum 2 years of current Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

A valid driver's license is required

A supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years is preferred

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply

Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving

During the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's holiday windows, a maximum of 1 day of time-off requests will be allowed per traveler
