Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improving existing recipes
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in all kitchen areas
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours
- Follow all food industry regulations and safety protocols to uphold quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong culinary experience with excellent knife skills and meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food handling practices, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment
- Familiarity with menu planning, food service operations, and kitchen equipment usage
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and coordinating with team members
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience that demonstrates reliability and enthusiasm for cooking
