Job Description
Ares is seeking a Principal-level technology leader to serve as a lead across Wealth Management Technology and our Sales and Marketing analytics platform, responsible for the technology strategy, platforms, and delivery supporting the firm’s rapidly expanding Wealth Management and Global Client Solutions businesses.
As Ares continues to scale its presence across private wealth channels, including RIAs, private banks, wirehouses, and independent broker-dealers, this role will lead the design and evolution of the technology capabilities that power advisor engagement, distribution effectiveness, and client experience across the wealth ecosystem.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Client Platforms Technology, this individual will serve as the senior technology partner to Wealth Management distribution, sales, marketing, and product leadership, ensuring the firm’s technology platforms support the full lifecycle of advisor engagement—from prospecting and segmentation to relationship management, analytics, and digital distribution. The successful candidate will also serve as the senior technology owner for the firm’s sales and marketing analytics platform, partnering closely with the Head of Institutional and CRM Technology.
This leader will be responsible for driving the strategy, architecture, and delivery of wealth distribution platforms, including CRM and advisor intelligence capabilities, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce and integrated sales-marketing ecosystems. The role will focus on building data-driven distribution capabilities, enabling advanced advisor segmentation, opportunity targeting, and analytics that enhance the productivity and effectiveness of Ares’ global wealth distribution teams.
The successful candidate brings deep experience building wealth management technology platforms within alternative asset managers or asset management firms, combined with strong expertise in CRM ecosystems, advisor data, analytics, and sales enablement platforms. This role requires a leader who can translate wealth distribution strategy into scalable technology platforms, while partnering closely with Data & AI, Marketing Technology, and Client Reporting teams to deliver a highly integrated advisor experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wealth Management Technology Strategy
Partner closely with Wealth Management leadership to translate distribution priorities into scalable technology capabilities that support advisor acquisition, relationship management, and product distribution.
Drive the evolution of platforms supporting the advisor engagement lifecycle, including prospecting, onboarding, relationship management, product education, and analytics.
Ensure technology platforms enable scalable growth across RIAs, private banks, wirehouses, and other intermediary channels.
CRM, Salesforce & Advisor Engagement Platforms
Ensure seamless integration between CRM, marketing automation, client reporting, digital portals, and distribution analytics platforms
Advisor Data, Analytics & Segmentation
Drive the integration of external advisor datasets, internal sales data, marketing engagement data, and investment product data to create a comprehensive advisor intelligence platform
Sales, Marketing & Client Technology Interoperability
Ensure strong interoperability across sales, marketing, and client technology platforms, creating a cohesive advisor and client engagement ecosystem.
Partner with Marketing Technology teams to integrate CRM platforms with digital marketing, campaign management, and advisor engagement tools
Enable closed-loop insights connecting marketing activity, advisor engagement, product demand, and sales outcomes.
Collaborate with Client Reporting and Digital teams to ensure consistent advisor and client experience across portals, reporting platforms, and engagement tools.
Platform Architecture & Engineering Delivery
Build and lead a high-performing wealth technology team or architects, developers, product managers, and analysts supporting the firm’s growing wealth distribution platform.
Become a trusted partner and collaborator with senior business leaders across Wealth Management, Marketing, Product Management, Data & AI, and Client Technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical & Strategic Expertise
Strong understanding of wealth distribution technology platforms, advisor data models, and intermediary channel dynamics.
Experience integrating CRM platforms with marketing technology, analytics platforms, and client reporting systems.
Familiarity with data platforms, analytics environments, and data science capabilities supporting advisor segmentation and sales insights.
Strong appreciation for enterprise architecture, data governance, and security in regulated financial services environments.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$230,000 - $250,000
