Part-Time Pet Sitter — W-2 Employee
We’re looking for a dependable, caring Pet Sitter to join our team part-time.
This is a great fit for someone who already works with animals and is looking for additional flexible hours. Veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel staff, animal care professionals, and vet tech students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Veterinary or professional animal-care experience is a big plus, especially if you’re comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, administering medications, and handling pets with different medical or behavioral needs.
This is a part-time W-2 employee position, not an independent contractor role.
We are currently looking for people who can work weekday and weekend mornings and afternoons.
What You'll Do
- Drive to clients’ homes for scheduled pet-care visits
- Feed, walk, play with, and care for dogs, cats, and other household pets
- Follow each pet’s feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions
- Administer medications when needed and within your training and experience
- Watch for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or overall health
- Communicate any concerns to management and pet owners
- Send clients visit updates and photos
- Clean up after pets and leave their space clean and comfortable
- Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments
- Make sure pets are properly secured during walks and visits
- Provide basic grooming such as brushing when requested
- Follow company safety and pet-care procedures
Who We're Looking For

- Comfortable using your phone for scheduling, communication, and client photos
Experience
Previous animal-care experience is preferred.
Veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel technicians, animal-care attendants, groomers, shelter staff, and vet tech students are especially encouraged to apply.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Administering oral or topical medications
- Caring for senior pets
- Recognizing signs of illness or distress
- Dog handling and restraint
- Pet body language and behavior
- Basic veterinary terminology
- Animal first aid and CPR
- Caring for pets with medical or special needs
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable smartphone for scheduling, communication, and client photos
- Availability for weekday and/or weekend morning and afternoon visits
- Comfortable traveling between client homes
- Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and breeds
- Ability to follow company procedures and client care instructions
