We are seeking a local experienced Hair Restoration Technician (Independent Contractor) to support our Chicago surgical center on an as-needed basis. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled professional with hands-on experience in the hair restoration industry who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting successful surgical outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience with hair transplantation procedures, understands the precision required in graft handling and placement, and thrives in a collaborative surgical environment.
Position Overview
The Hair Restoration Technician will provide technical and clinical support during hair restoration procedures, working alongside physicians and the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow, exceptional patient experience, and high-quality procedural outcomes. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to maintain focus in a surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during hair restoration procedures, including FUE and FUT techniques
- Support graft preparation, which includes trimming and placement of hair follicles
- Assist with operating room and cleanup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional surgical environment
- Follow established clinical protocols and maintain proper handling techniques
- Provide a professional and supportive patient experience throughout the procedure
- Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical team members to support procedure efficiency
Qualifications
- Candidate local to Oakbrook Terrace, or surrounding cities
- Previous experience working as a Hair Restoration Technician required
- Strong understanding of hair anatomy and hair transplantation techniques
- Experience supporting FUE and/or FUT procedures preferred
- Have your own LLC certificate and/or workers comp insurance preferred
- Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused surgical environment
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach with patients and team members
- Willing to work on a as needed basis based on the offices' needs
Hiring Process
Experienced candidates will be asked to participate in a paid two-day working interview at our Chicago location as part of the evaluation process. This provides an opportunity to demonstrate technical skills, learn more about our clinical approach, and meet members of the surgical team. Once this step is completed, the office will start scheduling the candidate on a as needed basis
Compensation
Compensation is based on whether the candidate has their LLC certificate and workers comp insurance. Or if neither of these can be provided, the company will cover this IC and it will reflect on pay.
