Location: Hightstown, NJ (On-site, field-based)

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of property maintenance and repair tasks across residential and commercial properties. This role ensures that units, common areas, and building systems remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a dependable, skilled professional who enjoys working independently and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Complete work orders for routine repairs and preventive maintenance.

Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues.

Perform painting, drywall, flooring, and other unit turnover tasks.

Assist with the preparation of vacant units for new tenants.

Conduct routine inspections of building systems and common areas.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Support property managers and superintendents in maintaining properties to company standards.

Maintain accurate records of completed work in property management systems.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

Assist with seasonal tasks (snow removal, landscaping support, etc.).
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in trades preferred.

2+ years of maintenance, facilities, or building repair experience (property management experience a plus).

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in varying conditions.
