Hoosac Valley Farmers Exchange is looking for Part Time Yard Help
Job Summary: Loading customer orders, unloading incoming trucks, preparing/palletizing orders, maintaining/organizing materials in the back room and outbuildings, filling propane tanks, assisting with lawncare/snow, other duties as assigned.
Job Functions:
including, but not limited to:
- Operating a forklift to load and unload trucks
- Loading customer orders by hand, ability to lift 80lbs is required.
- Label, stack and or shrink wrap pallets as required per order
- Wait on customers as needed
- Ensure feed is reordered from our mill location, and rotated when put away
- Clean up the back room and outbuildings
- Organizing stock outside
- Load and unload trucks
- Unloading train cars
- Palletizing orders
- Pulling orders
- General lawn care and snow removal as needed.
- Assist with any other tasks as requested or assigned by management
Physical and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Ability to interact with customers is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. repeatedly
- Need to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods
- Willing to work in demanding environments (hot, cold temperatures and dusty conditions).
- Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment

Position is part-time.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
