Duties
- Assist with preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including surface masking, sanding, and debris removal
- Operate hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and basic equipment safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications for painting, carpentry, or restoration tasks
- Perform residential and commercial painting using techniques like airless spraying, brushwork, or rolling to achieve smooth finishes
- Support framing carpentry, trim carpentry, caulking, stucco application, plastering, masonry, and concrete finishing as needed
- Assist with fixture installation, renovation projects, drywall repair, restoration work, and masonry tasks
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations while following safety protocols on-site
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while adhering to safety standards
Experience
- Prior experience in construction painting or general labor roles preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment used in construction environments
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various trades such as carpentry or restoration projects
- Hands-on experience with residential or commercial painting techniques including airless spray systems and surface preparation
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Experience in renovation or remodeling projects involving drywall, stucco, masonry or fixture installation is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary
