We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in Virginia for the 2026-27. This role is crucial in providing specialized instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, ensuring their educational and social development within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate special education students into mainstream classrooms, as appropriate.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to promote engagement, learning, and student success.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on ongoing observations and assessments.
- Foster a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment that supports students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
