American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience and 1 year of prior travel nursing experience.

Work in the PICU of a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-recognized, teaching children's hospital with 390 staffed beds
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a, 36 hours/week

13-week assignment length
-
Floating required between this facility and a sister hospital located approximately 12 miles away

Uses Epic EMR
-
Accepts local candidates at the same rate

Active Missouri or compact RN license required, along with a Kansas RN license (Kansas license may be pending with documentation of application for main campus placement)

Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)

Minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience required

Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Experience with Epic charting system required

Skills required: care of ventilated patients, respiratory management, neurologic assessment, ICP monitoring, cardiovascular care, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias

Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Provide direct patient care to pediatric ICU patients including ventilator management, neurologic and cardiovascular monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus with nicotine testing conducted

Scrubs may be any kid-friendly color or pattern

Medication/dosage competency test administered during first week, requiring 100% to pass with up to 3 attempts allowed

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position; only candidates with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience will be considered
