Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)
Starting Pay: $31.50/hour
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team on the night shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and a solid mechanical background who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on all plant and production equipment. This individual must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant and production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in process systems
- Assist with production line start-ups and ensure smooth operation
- Replace and maintain motors, drives, and related components
- Support spare parts inventory management as directed
- Perform basic machining, welding, and fabrication work as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment (machines, floors, work areas)
- Collaborate with team members and provide support during peak production needs
- Respond to on-call situations for planned events (e.g., severe weather)
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (or equivalent technical schooling)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills
- General electrical troubleshooting experience with process equipment
- Ability to use measuring instruments and diagnostic tools
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work overtime and support team coverage as needed
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in extrusion processes is a plus
- Well-rounded maintenance background (mechanical-focused)
