Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every roll
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative sushi options and accompaniments
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict food safety standards
- Handle food ingredients carefully, practicing proper food handling and storage techniques
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours, contributing to efficient meal preparation and delivery
- Assist with food presentation to ensure visually appealing dishes that meet restaurant standards
- Follow all health regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is preferred but not required
- Hands-on culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Skilled in knife work, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Experience with catering or large-scale food production is a plus
- Familiarity with the food industry’s safety protocols and standards
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
