Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Electrician with experience or exposure to industrial control panels to join our electrical team. The ideal candidate will assist with the installation and wiring of electrical systems and control panels for commercial or industrial environments while continuing to develop hands-on electrical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical installations
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Wire and assemble industrial control panels and electrical components
- Install conduit, pull wire, terminate connections, and label circuits
- Troubleshoot basic electrical and control panel issues
- Assist with motor controls, PLC wiring, relays and contactors
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas
- Support startup, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Document completed work and communicate progress to supervisors
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of electrical or industrial experience
- Experience with control panel wiring and assembly
- Basic understanding of electrical theory and industrial controls
- Ability to read electrical prints and schematics
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments
Preferred Skills
- Enrolled in or completed an electrical apprenticeship program
- Experience with PLC systems and motor controls
- Knowledge of low-voltage and 480V systems
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
