Position Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food products while supporting efficient kitchen operations and maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. This role plays a key part in delivering a consistent guest experience by following recipes, managing food preparation timelines, and ensuring food quality expectations are met.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations

Prepare food items according to company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.

Manage food preparation tasks efficiently to support timely service during all business levels.

Assist with line-prep and kitchen setup as needed.

Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or product concerns to management.

Rotate products and ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods to maintain freshness and minimize waste.

Assist with stocking, organizing, and replenishing kitchen supplies and food products.

Support overall kitchen operations and teamwork during peak business periods.
Compliance Vendor Quality Assurance

Adhere to all health, food safety, and sanitation regulations.

Ensure food preparation and handling procedures consistently meet company and regulatory standards.

Maintain quality control standards to ensure all food provided meets customer expectations.

Monitor food products received from vendors and report quality concerns or inconsistencies to management.

Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain awareness of kitchen hazards.
Work Area Management

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and food preparation area.

Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food prep areas.

Ensure utensils, ingredients, and operational supplies are properly organized and stocked.

Assist with end-of-shift cleaning, organization, and kitchen reset procedures.
Requirements
Previous cooking, food preparation, restaurant, or food service experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations preferred.
Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and operational instructions accurately.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with team members.
Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain physically active throughout scheduled shifts.
Ability to lift and carry food products, supplies, and kitchen equipment as needed.
Pay Range: $11.00-16.00/hour depending on shift and experience
