Job Summary
We are seeking a Christ-filled, dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters the intellectual and social development of young children. The candidate will also have a strong relationship with Christ and exemplify that in all areas of their life. They must model Christ-like behaviors in all that they do. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, implementing curriculum development strategies, and providing individualized support to students, including those with special education needs.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Educate students in core subjects such as Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies while integrating creative teaching methods.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational environment.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra assistance in their studies.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that accommodates children with special education needs.
- Organize classroom activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and respect among peers.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for elementary education.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Familiarity with tutoring practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
- Experience in private school settings is a plus but not required.
- A passion for educating young minds and fostering a love for learning.
