Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our growing OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while delivering exceptional patient care in a professional and respectful environment.
This position requires excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations.
- Obtain accurate diagnostic images following established clinical protocols.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the examination process.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and confidentiality throughout each visit.
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any maintenance concerns.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Follow all office policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient workflow within the practice.
QualificationsRequired
- Current and unrestricted Sonographer license in Puerto Rico.
- ARDMS certification or equivalent credential preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced medical office.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an Obstetrics & Gynecology practice.
- Experience performing:
- Obstetric ultrasounds (first, second, and third trimester)
- Gynecologic ultrasounds
- Transvaginal ultrasounds
- Biophysical Profiles (BPP)
- Cervical length measurements
- Fetal growth studies
- Ultrasound-assisted procedures
