Responsibilities
- Supervise daily farm activities, including planting, harvesting, and equipment operation
- Maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical skills
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Implement irrigation systems and manage water resources to optimize crop growth and sustainability
- Lead a team of farm workers by providing training on equipment use, safety procedures, and farm protocols
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a farming or agricultural setting with strong leadership skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy machinery including forklifts, tractors, and other farm equipment
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, and general farming procedures
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and performing basic equipment repairs
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements, record keeping, and inventory management
- Strong understanding of farming principles related to agriculture sustainability and crop production
