ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance, track, and support the bank’s hardware and software assets, installers, and licenses.

Implement and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions.
- Enforce user access controls and adherence to IT policies and procedures.

Participate in the review and assignment of permissions to user access controls, utilizing sound decisions and judgement on granting access to various systems.

Properly document changes to user or group access controls.
-
Participate in the orientation and technical training of personnel across the bank.
-
Participate in the technology threat and awareness program for all bank personnel.
-
Write and review technical documents, proposals and user guides for projects, presentations, and systems utilized by the bank that can be read and understood by all users.
-
Present a professional image as a representative of the bank.
-
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers.
-
Contribute to the continuity of computer, phone, network, and other technical services by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and skill set.

Build rapport with product and service vendors.
-
Participate in the periodic review of current or future products and services to determine continued or future need or requirements.
-
Maintain asset and software license tracking and ensure licensing requirements and compliance with terms and conditions.
-
Monitor TARDIS (the problem tracking system), ensuring that all problems, issues, and concerns are addressed in a timely manner, audited against system reports, and reported to management and the board when required.

Assist employees with various Information Technology needs in a timely manner via phone, chat, email, and in person requests outside of TARDIS.

Participate in maintaining a software patch management program for devices and various software. Test, deploy, and monitor software updates.

Maintain proper printer and multi-function printer deployment within network strategy.
-
Understand and maintain both wired and wireless networks with an emphasis on security.
-
Enhance user productivity through the support and training of new software, technology, and processes.
-
Understand and assist with the administration and reporting on network systems, software configuration, user access, abnormalities, and potential technology threats.
-
Maintain and stay updated on systems disaster recovery and business continuity plan, including implementing changes in available technology, management of backup & recovery systems, understanding available resources and supply chains, maintaining adequate planning and procedure manuals, and conducting periodic testing as set forth in policy or as otherwise determined is needed.

Participate in the maintenance of Information Technology procedures.

Properly and securely dispose of hardware, software, and data, in compliance with environmental recommendations as well as FFIEC and other regulatory guidelines.

Document network, phone, software, PC or other hardware procedures, instructions, guides, and functions.
-
Diagnose and resolve network configuration and implementation issues.
-
Deploy PCs and hardware devices for new employees or current employees.
-
Fulfill computer and printer supply requests.
-
Assist IT Officer with any projects.
-
Uphold and comply with confidentiality policy in reference to all material, whether electronic or paper.

Comply with and assist others in complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
-
Comply with Bank Secrecy Act regulations as they pertain to the functions of this position.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stay abreast of the latest developments in technology and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data services as they pertain to the functions of this position.
- Participate in various committees and other opportunities to continue personal growth, expand knowledge and provide expertise to the organization.

Participate in industry specific trade groups, security and technical communities, and forums to gain exposure to current trends, new technologies, best practices, and emerging threats.

Maintain individual P.E.P. monthly.

Support the bank in efforts to obtain and retain customers
-
Conduct duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the bank’s profitability goals, including helping the bank not to lose money and helping the bank save money by improving job processes, achieving operational excellence, tracking inventory, monitoring the supply chain, and maximizing available resources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Preferred technical knowledge including but not limited to network design, backup and recovery solutions, active directory, group policy, Windows operating system, PC repair, anti-virus/malware/spyware and intrusion detection software, network monitoring software and reports, software patch management, help desk solutions, Communication systems, remote connectivity, VPN, telephone connectivity, Ethernet and Cat5 wiring, web and email, projectors and video software and solutions, security cameras and DVRs, and other data or technical systems.

Knowledge of banking laws and regulations as they pertain to this position.

Advanced knowledge of bank hardware and software assets as well as core systems.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and effective computer skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.

Ability to research and stay current on banking laws.

Ability to research data input, output, diagrams and reports from a security standpoint with an understanding on how the different components relate to one another.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

A college degree in computer technology and/or related experience is preferred
Maintain leveraging of the bank’s hardware and software and in the ongoing maintenance of the bank’s information systems.
