Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Chiropractic Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment for all patients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient with health care office systems, has strong phone skillls, and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care support.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems (We use Jane EHR).
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification to facilitate seamless billing processes.
- Schedule appointments accurately utilizing electronic scheduling software
- Collect and review patient information, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage phone and online lead systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Maintain organized filing of medical records, handle data entry tasks such as accurately inputting patient information to EHR.
- Support front desk operations by managing office supplies, handling clerical tasks such as filing and data entry, and ensuring a clean, welcoming reception area.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a medical or chiropractic office environment is highly preferred.
- Past use of EMR/EHR systems, training on our software will be provided.
- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), billing procedures, insurance verification processes, and HIPAA compliance is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10-key), and electronic documentation review.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a bilingual setting is a plus.
- Prior clinic or dental office experience involving front desk duties such as appointment scheduling and patient intake will be advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
