JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for dumping filled baskets of cooked potatoes and manually lifting baskets
to palletize the baskets of potatoes onto pallets.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an
obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities,
related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce
product and process variability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties when in DHC:
- Keeping product flow at an optimal level by assuring proper potato supply.
- Recording cook information so that you account for all dumped pallets.
- Setting-up dump room equipment according to the products scheduled to run.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for recording pallet information.
Duties when in precool (including sanitation):
- Identifying and removing damaged baskets.
- Continually placing filled baskets of potatoes onto pallets.
- Assuring that each basket is filled properly with high quality potatoes and that it is placed
properly on the pallet.
General Duties:
- Communicate relevant information to fellow employees on the shift and to oncoming
employee, department lead and/or Supervisor at shift change.
- General cleaning of equipment and maintaining good housekeeping throughout the
department.
- Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and
procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
- Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that

EDUCATION:
No prior experience or training.
EXPERIENCE:
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
In order to promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and efficient for both personnel and
food, the ability to effectively communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required. This
includes the ability to speak, read and comprehend safety instructions, rules and warnings for self and
others in both normal and emergency situations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to
write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.
