Strong communities are built through good communication, dependable public services, and people who are willing to help when they're needed.
The Community Services Manager helps support those efforts by working with residents, community partners, and town departments to keep information organized, services accessible, and day-to-day operations moving forward.
Some days involve answering questions, coordinating community programs, or helping residents find the information they need. Other days are spent working with different departments, following up on requests, or improving the way services are delivered. Every day is a little different, but the goal is always the same—making it easier for residents to connect with the services available to them.
What you'll be doing
- Help coordinate community programs, services, and resident communications
- Serve as a point of contact for questions, requests, and general assistance
- Work with town departments to help resolve service-related matters
- Maintain accurate records and track community requests when needed
- Support outreach efforts and help share important information with residents
- Assist with projects that improve service delivery and community engagement
- Build positive working relationships with residents, community organizations, and internal teams
What we're looking for
- Experience in public administration, local government, nonprofit organizations, community programs, education, or another service-focused environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- A collaborative approach and willingness to solve problems
- Experience with administrative or case management software is helpful but not required
Public service is about helping people navigate everyday needs and making sure they know where to turn when they have questions. If you enjoy working with the community, building relationships, and helping services run smoothly, we'd like to hear from you.
